What Is Local Business Schema?
Local business schema is structured data that tells Google the facts about a physical business: its name, address, phone number, opening hours and exact location on the map.
It uses the LocalBusiness type from schema.org, or a more specific subtype such as Restaurant, Dentist or Plumber. Google can use it to show your details in the knowledge panel and in local results.

Tips for Better Local Results
- Have several branches? Give each one its own page and its own schema block.
- Do not add star ratings for your own business. Google treats reviews a business controls about itself as self serving and will not show stars for them.
- Keep your name, address and phone identical everywhere online.

Frequently Asked Questions
1Where should I put local business schema?
Put it on the page that describes that location, usually your home page for a single shop or a dedicated location page for each branch. It can go in the head or the body of the page.
2Does local business schema help my Google Maps ranking?
It does not directly boost Maps rankings. It helps Google understand and confirm your business details. Your Google Business Profile, reviews and proximity matter far more for Maps.
3Can I add review stars to my local business schema?
Not for reviews about your own business. Google says pages using LocalBusiness or Organization markup are not eligible for review stars when the business controls those reviews, even through a widget.
4Is my business information sent anywhere?
No. This local business schema generator runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is uploaded or stored.
